Adam reporting from Downing Street

Adam has a prestigious background in consumer, financial and economics broadcasting.

He has worked for the BBC for over 35 years. For nearly 20 years he was a Senior Broadcast Journalist and reporter/presenter with the BBC Business and Economics Unit, at Television Centre, New Broadcasing House and Media City, Salford.

Adam has been a regular stand-in presenter of Wake Up to Money on BBC Radio Five Live, and was Presenter of The Financial World Tonight. He has reported on all business programmes, such as Five Live business slots, You and Yours, PM, BBC World Service and presenter of Breakfast and Drive on many BBC Local Radio stations. He was also chosen personally by Chris Evans when he started presenting Drive on Radio 2, and was known as Chris’s Business Badger!

When it comes to consumer issues and business and finance Adam has a sixth sense of what makes news, how to explain complex issues simply and engage with the audience.  He has a huge contacts base with City and other professionals.

Adam also writes clearly, succinctly, impartially and accurately. 

He has presented from many countries, including Cyprus, Greece and New York during the financial crisis. He covered the 2015 Greek general elections from Athens across BBC radio, and broadcast live from Majorca on the effect of the falling pound on tourism.

Broadcasting on key issues  – Adam has interviewed and probed many MPs, Government ministers, City analysts, Senior executives and pressure groups on all major consumer and business stories.

Features  –  Adam is an accomplished radio features creator and has crafted packages on a huge range of subjects, from the plight of an Athens taxi driver during the financial crisis, to a puffer steamer holiday on Jura, peat bogs in Ireland, apples rotting in a Hampshire orchard due to the Russian trade embargo and many many more.  Also documentaries including a half hour documentary for Five Live on The Food Report, and an hour long documentary for Radio Four following the folk band Fairport Convention through the eyes of its fans. Adam may specialise in Consumer, Business and Finance but has a flair for all subjects.
