Conference facilitation case studies

Medical conference

Adam Kirtley was commissioned by a medical company to facilitate a conference at Brussels Airport with many delegates attending ‘virtually’ via via a webcast. The conference included speakers, a quiz and a Q&A session, with ons-site delegates using electronic pads and others taking part by App.

Adam kept everything under control, all delegates involved and the presenters were fully informed. The client was extremely happy and we continue to work with them.

Museum sector conference and workshop

Every two years there is a big conference for the museum sector in the West Midlands, UK. Adam Kirtley was commissioned by a speaker agency to be the facilitator. He was so successful that the client asked for Adam to host the organisation’s next conference.

Surrey Nurses conference

Adam Kirtley provides media training for a range of NHS organisations and was asked to facilitate a large nurses conference looking at the six Cs of nursing.

There were around 500 delegates and Adam introduced numerous speakers, kept everything to time and led several Q&A sessions, as well as going round the tables interviewing people as they worked together on tasks.

This led Adam to facilitate more NHS events, including being hired to chair debates on future NHS commissionig plans and the future of digital medicine.

Royal Navy conference

Adam Kirtley was approached by the Royal Navy, after a personal recommendation. The Navy was hosting a big conference at the Royal Naval College in Dartmouth on future leadership, the first of its kind for them.

The First Sea Lord gave the keynote speech and the conference had many world class speakers and it was very interactive with the use of Slido, breakout rooms etc.. Adam chaired the whole thing and the Royal Navy was delighted.
